Gardiner Cup at 80

The Gardiner Cup which was first played for 80 years ago in 1939 was played at Rothley Park on Friday, despite the persistent rain the course was in excellent condition especially the greens. Three players tied on Nett 71 Paul Bumpus (Beedles Lake) John Hardwick (Rothley Park) and Kevin Whitfield-Green (Burnham & Berrow) after a countback on local rule Paul Bumpus was declared the winner.
