2024 County Men's Winter Training Series.
To prepare for the coming season, the County Men's 1st Team Captain John Fairbrother & 2nd Team Captain Tom Roberts are running a training series open to any L&RGU affiliated club member to enter with a WHS handicap index of 9.0 or below.
The Winter series will involve 3 event which will be non qualifiers, venues and dates are listed below.
Cosby Golf Club, Sun 4th February 24 *** Event 1 Results .***
Rothley Park Golf Club, Sun 18th February 24 *** Course Closed - Event Cancelled ***
Kirby Muxloe Golf Club, Sun 3rd March 24 *** Event Cancelled due to Course Conditions ***
The cost to enter the series will be £15 for each event. Prize Vouchers will be awarded based on the level of entries. Provisionally prizes to be given out per event are; top 3 overall gross scores, best overall nett and best junior nett. Only one prize can be won at each event by a single person.
There will also be a winter series order of merit, of which an additional prize will also be awarded to the overall winner. A minimum of 2 events must be played to be eligible to be considered for the OOM.
Entries are limited to 40 per event and if we are oversubscribed a ballot based on handicap index will be applied with a refund made to any players who had paid the entry fee and are balloted out. Note both Men’s County Captains will automatically be eligible to play in all the events.
Entries received, Tee times and results will all be published on this webpage .
