The Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union compete in the Anglian League and the Eastern Inter Counties Foursomes on an annual basis

The L&RGU First Team won the Anglian League in 2022 under the captaincy of James Billingham (Cosby). This gave the L&RGU their third ever 'double' of Anglian League and Eastern Counties Foursomes following their wins in 1995, 2016. The L&RGU have now won the Anglian League on 15 occasions, bettered only by Lincolnshire (18).

The L&RGU Second Team retained their title in 2019 again under the captaincy of John Fairbrother (Cosby they have won the title for the last three years). The L&RGU have won the Second Team League 13 times, again only bettered by Lincolnshire (15).

The 2022 victory in the Eastern Counties Foursomes was the 10th time that the L&RGU have won this particular event - the leaders in this tournament are;

Lincolnshire (14),   Hertfordshire (11) (They no longer play in the tournament)   Berks,Bucks & Oxon (BBO) (10)   L&RGU (10)

Three counties have done the double of Anglian League and Eastern Counties - Cambridgeshire (2013), L&RGU (1995, 2016 & 2022) and Lincolnshire (1975, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2015).

Those three counties have also achieved the treble (Anglian League, Second Team League and Eastern Counties) - Cambridgeshire in 2013, L&RGU in 1995 and Lincolnshire in 2004 & 2009.
