Freddie Macarthur (Ullesthorpe) wins the second 2018 L&RGU Winter Series event

The second of three L&RGU Winter Series events took place at The Leicestershire Golf Club on Sunday 9th December.

Thirty players took part with Freddie Macarthur (Ullesthorpe) and L&RGU Second Team Captain John Fairbrother (Cosby) tieing on 67; Freddie took first place on local rule. Steve Sansome (Birstall) was third on 68 with James Billingham (Cosby) and former County Captain Stuart Marriott (Birstall) both shot 69. James took fourth place on local rule but Stuart had the consolation of collecting the best nett prize with his 67.

The Gross Order of Merit is lead by County Captain Martin Anderson (Glen Gorse) on 200 points with Freddie Macarthur in second on 185. John Fairbrother is third on 155 whilst James Billingham is fourth on 150.

The Nett Order of Merit is lead by Matt Peyton (Cosby) on 187.5 points with Freddie Macarthur and Stuart Marriott tied for second on 155. Cameron Chalmers (Ullesthorpe) is fourth on 150.

The third and final L&RGU Order of Merit event takes place at The Leicestershire on Sunday 10th February - double points are awarded for this event so there's still plenty to play for!
