Matthew Cort (Beedles Lake) wins the L&RGU Open Championship

The Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union runs an Open Championship, with the generous support of the Mark Group. The event is open to both Amateurs and Professionals.

The 2015 L&RGU Open Championship took place on Sunday 16th August 2015 at Birstall Golf Club and was won by Matthew Cort a Professional attached to Beedles Lake with an eight under par two round total of 132. Matt won by 1 shot from amateurs Ashley Mason (Glen Gorse) and Martin Anderson (Market Harborough).
