Cartwright retains "Spring Tournament"

Coby Cartwright (Cosby) retained the L&RGU Spring Tournament for the "Robin Fraser Trophy" at the weekend, this is the third time he has won this event the previous two in 2015 and 2021. The tournament was played in cool windy and firm conditions at Lingdale and Cosby. 27 players qualified at Lingdale on the Saturday to play at Cosby on Sunday. Coby was joint leader after 36 holes with Liam Plant (Cosby) and Richard Wale (The Leicestershire) on 144, he then produced a 70 the only sub par round of of the day in the last round to win by two on 290.

This is a World Amateur Golf Ranking event.
