L&RGU 2nd in Midland Qualifier for England Golf Finals

The L&RGU finished 2nd in the recent MGU England Golf County Finals Qualifier at Birstall, the tournament is on a rota of all the Midland counties we host this event every 10 years. The winners were Warwickshire who won with a 15 under par total 685. This year is the first time that the 5 best scores from 6 in each round was used, its normally all 6 to count in both rounds.

County Captain James Billingham (Cosby) led from the front with a 5 under par total of 135, two other players posted sub par totals Steve Sansome (Birstall) 4 under and Luke Burrows (Cosby) 2 under.
