He came to Leicestershire from Northumberland in 1987 and was a member of Birstall GC for several years - he now plays his golf at Stapleford Park and Burnham & Berrow. Kevin was also Secretary of the L&RGU Scratch League.

Kevin has played for the county nearly 50 times, captaining the Second team from 2001-2003, winning the 2001 Anglian League. The team was also runners-up in the 2004 EGU County Finals at Worksop GC, losing out by half-a-point to Surrey for the title.
When Geoff Brown retired in 2010 after 25 years as L&RGU Scratch League secretary, Kevin succeeded him and at the 2011 AGM, he took over from Graham Fox, after his 20 years as county match secretary. Kevin was elected as Juniors Organiser at the 2014 AGM, before being nominated as President Elect in 2015. In May 2016 at the Anglian League AGM he was elected Anglian League Secretary.
