Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union
In order to monitor the success, progress and development of golfers in the Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union it was decided in 2009 to introduce an Order of Merit.
The original Order of Merit focused on performances in the county major tournaments and the inaugural winner was Jason Palmer from Kirby Muxloe Golf Club.
In 2010, the Order of Merit was expanded to take into account performances in County matches (Friendlies, Anglian League and Eastern Counties Foursomes) and the most recent winner was Steve Sansome (Birstall Golf Club) who retained his title in 2011. The Order of Merit rankings for the last three years (along with 2 demo years data from 2007 and 2008) are available from the downloads below:
The 2012 Order of Merit will begin with the County Matches against Worcestershire on Sunday 4th March.
