The original Order of Merit focused on performances in the county major tournaments and the inaugural winner was Jason Palmer from Kirby Muxloe Golf Club. In 2010, the Order of Merit was expanded to take into account performances in County matches (Pre-Season, Anglian League and Eastern Counties Foursomes) and the most recent winner was Steve Sansome (Birstall Golf Club) who successfully defended his 2010 title in 2011, and also in 2012.
The 2013 Order of Merit started with the opening County Matches of the season against Warwickshire on Sunday 31st March and will be concluded at the final Anglian League games of the season in September.
