Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union
The Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union runs an annual foursomes competition in the memory of a Past President of the English Golf Union, John Cheatle.
The John Cheatle Foursomes is by the Presidents invitation, open to gentlemen including juniors, who are members of a golf club affiliated to any golf union. At least one playing member of any four in the John Cheatle Foursomes must be a member of a golf club affiliated to the L&RGU.
The 2012 John Cheatle Foursomes will be played on Sunday 26th August at Rothley Park Golf Club. Entry will be by personal invitiation from the L&RGU President.
The 2011 event was played on Saturday 27th August at its traditional venue, Rothley Park Golf Club.
