Scott Wormleighton (Birstall) wins the Leicestershire Fox

The Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union holds an annual Midland Order of Merit event, called 'The Leicestershire Fox'. The traditional venue for the Leicestershire Fox is Willesley Park Golf Club near Ashby de la Zouch.

The 2017 Leicestershire Fox took place on Sunday 13th August and was won by Scott Wormleighton, from Birstall Golf Club. Scott had a two round score of 136 to win by 1 shot from Jordan Boulton (Notts). Cosby duo James Billingham and John Fairbrother shared third place on 138. Scott's victory means that the last three Fox winners have all come from Birstall - Jack Merry in 2015 and Steve Sansome in 2016 won the event too.
