Success for Cosby and Lutterworth in the foursomes finals

The finals of the Pro-Am and Mens Interclub foursomes were played at Willesley Park Golf Club on Sunday 9th October. Each final was contested over 36 holes.

Park Hill B took on Cosby B in the final of the Pro-Am Foursomes. Matt Whelband and Sam Gamble represented Park Hill whilst Ollie Walmsley and Luke Burrows represented Cosby. After the morning round Cosby had a 3 hole lead and continued to build on this, eventually winning 6&5.

Lutterworth took on Whetstone in the final of the Mens Foursomes. In the top game Lutterworth's Chris Abbott and Andrew Skerratt played Whetstone's Jonny Peacock and Dan Loach. After 18 holes Lutterworth had a 5 up lead, but Whetstone rallied in the afternoon to cut the deficit by 2, Lutterworth holding a 3 hole lead after the end of the second round. In the second game Lutterworth were represented by Joe Hack and Richard Harris, with George Raitt and Ian Hurst representing Whetstone. After 18 holes Lutterworth were 4up and this was further extended by 6 in the afternoon to give a 10 up total. Overall, Lutterworth won the game 13 up.
