Kevin Whitfield-Green is the Director of Tournaments and Immediate Past President of the Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union.

He came to Leicestershire from Northumberland in 1987 and was a member of Birstall GC for several years - he now plays his golf at Lingdale and Burnham & Berrow. Ke

He started playing golf in 1971 at Morpeth GC, Northumberland, and was a category one golfer for 35 years. He maintained his membership of that club, where he was an active club  director until April 2016.

Kevin worked in local government until his move to Leicestershire, where he has worked for Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust in adult mental health for 32 years.

Kevin has played for the county 49 times, captaining the Second team from 2001-2003, winning the 2001 Anglian League. He progressed to county captain 2004-2006 heading the 2005 Anglian League winning squad. The team was also runners-up in the 2004 EGU County Finals at Worksop GC, losing out by half-a-point to Surrey for the title.

When Geoff Brown retired in 2010 after 25 years as L&RGU Scratch League secretary, Kevin succeeded him and at the 2011 AGM, he took over from Graham Fox, after his 20 years as county match secretary. Kevin was elected as Juniors Organiser at the 2014 AGM, before being nominated as President Elect in 2015. In May 2016 at the Anglian League AGM he was elected Anglian League Secretary.

Kevin was elected President at the L&RGU AGM on 23rd February 2017

He was appointed MGU Chairman at the AGM in October 2020
