Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union
The Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union participate in a three counties match against Norfolk and Bedfordshire on an annual basis. The BUT Trophy is played at venues rotating around the three counties and is a mixture of foursomes and singles matchplay.
In 2013 the BUT Trophy was played at Hunstanton Golf Club in Norfolk and the team representing Leicestershire & Rutland brilliantly won for a third year running. Leicestershire & Rutland won the BUT Trophy in 2011 at Glen Gorse and successfully defended their title in 2012 at John O'Gaunt Golf Club in Bedfordshire. The L&RGU also won at Lutterworth in 2008 and thus have 4 wins in the last 6 BUT Trophy matches.
