County Captain Martin Anderson (Glen Gorse) wins County Amateur Championship at The Luffenham Heath GC. Anderson was tied with Jack Mayfield (Cosby) on a one under par total of 139, this forced a sudden death play off, Anderson won on the 1st hole. He will now represent the L&RGU in the England Golf Champion of Champions at Frilford Heath GC on 14th & 15th September.

Cosby won the Corah Shield with a one under par total of 419. They will represent the L&RGU in the England Golf Champion Club Championship on 21st & 22nd September at Romford GC.

Artur Koyama of the host club had a hole in one on the 9th Hole in round 1, he received a special prize for the achievement.
