2021 L&RGU County Open R1 Rules

• The Tournament shall be played over 36 holes stroke play. Open to amateurs affiliated to the L&RGU. Professionals may enter the County Open provided they meet one of the following criteria.
a. They are attached to an affiliated club of the Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union.
b. They are members of the Leicestershire PGA.
c. They are sponsored by a Leicestershire & Rutland based business.
• In the event of a tie for the County Open Trophy, there will be a sudden death playoff on the day. Any tie for leading amateur (SLRGC Trophy) or professional (Frank Weston Trophy) will be decided by count back local rule.
• The leading Amateur will receive a salver presented by the Society of Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Captains. The leading Professional will receive the Frank Weston Trophy.
• Amateurs and professionals will play for the same prize fund, amateurs will receive vouchers and professional’s money (Bacs payment or Cheque)
• The L&RGU will adhere to all Government, EG & The Luffenham Heath GC restrictions in place at the time. Competitors will be required to observe these restrictions as an entry condition of the tournament.
