2020 Winter Series 1 Rules

The L&RGU Winter Series 1 is a 18 Hole Stroke Play Tournament off scratch, open to members of clubs affiliated to the L&RGU who meet the qualifying criteria.

Competition Rules
1) All ties, including for first place, will be decided by local rule. This means that for both prizes and order of merit points all players will finish solely in a position and no ties will exist.
2) To be eligible for the overall order of merit you must compete in at least two events.
3) The best two results will be used for the order of merit standings.
4) If you win prizes in multiple categories, you will only be able to win a single prize and this will be determined by the prize that holds the highest value/status. This applies individually to each event and to the overall order of merit.
5) Nearest the pin is a separate prize and may be won alongside another prize.
6) Field sizes are limited at each event and should entries exceed the field size limit then the tournament committee will prioritise entries based upon the following criteria:
For events 1 and 2:
a) County Juniors main squad participants
b) Those who have represented the county on the highest number of occasions
c) Handicap ballot for those who have not represented L&RGU
For event 3:
