L&RGU 2020 County Boys COVID 19 Event - 12th August 2020 Lutterworth Golf Club.
Following the announcement by the Government the other day regarding the continuation of the Leicester Lock down I have now taken the decision that we will go ahead (subject to any other COVID 19 changes) with a single event that will embrace elements from both the Boys Age Group and the Boys Stroke Play Championships.
The format will now be a single round of 18 holes stroke play for players up to and including a Congu handicap of 30.4. From this event we will determine both the Boys Age Group Champion (Best Nett Score) and the Boys Stroke Play Champion (Best Gross Score) - as we are combining the 2 events into one the same person can win both titles.
The main 18 hole event will include other gross and nett prize categories dependent upon the number of entries received.
The top 8 gross scores, subject to player availability, will also qualify for the Boys Match Play at Lutterworth GC with the Quarter and Semi finals being held on Thursday 13th August and then the final held on Sunday 16th August 2020.
In addition to the main event we will also be running a 9 hole stableford competition for those players with a congu handicap of between 30.5 and 54.
If you wish to enter either of these events please follow the relevant link below to the online entry form. Entrants must be under the Age of 18 on the 1st January 2020, be a member of an L&RGU affiliated Club and hold a CONGU handicap.
A condition of entry is that you adhere to any restrictions that may exisist at the time of the event (for example if the Leicester Lock down is still in force and you reside within the lockdown zone you must withdraw your entry) Entries will be closed from the 5th August 2020.
To support your entry the parental consent form, via the link below, MUST be completed and submitted to us before the entry close date and without this you will be excluded from the event.
After entry closing date you will be sent full details, via the primary parental consent email provided, of how the event will operate on the day and these will also be published on the web site.
Unfortunately it is unlikly we will be able to hold a formal prize presentation at the event but a full list of the results will be published on the website and individual winners will be notified via the primary parental email and prize vouchers issued. It will be my intention to formally present all of the trophies and prizes at the Junior Presentation Evening as and when we are able to hold it.
If you do have any other questions on any of this please either give me a call or drop me an Email contact details below:
