1. Eligibility.
Competitors must be under 18 at 00.00 hours on 1st January of the
current season. If a player is a member of more that one club then
where both clubs play in the league the player must play for the
home club where his/her handicap is based.

2. Matches shall be played in accordance with R & A Rules
and local rules of the host club,
Players MUST ensure that they play with Conforming Golf Balls
and Conforming Driving Clubs as per R & A Rule change 2008.

3. Matches
shall be played as 18 hole singles match play. Stroke allowance
to be Full difference. Maximum handicap to be 24 for boys, 36 for
girls. Players with higher handicaps may play, but off these handicaps.
Competitors must have an official club handicap.

4.
Teams to comprise 6 players, and listed 1 - 6 in handicap order.
Team sheets to be exchanged by the Captains, and players will
play in order listed. On no account must players be re-arranged
in order to suit the personal whims of either team Captain or
the players themselves.

5. Girls play from the ladies tees - strokes to be taken from
the men's card.
Handicap Allowance is to be in accordance with CONGU APPENDIX F, page 59, and is Mandatory, when Females are part of a Team and using different Tees, Handicap Allowance must take note of CONGU APPENDIX O, page 74, before applying the full difference.

6. Results. The Captain or Organiser of the home team must advise
the League Secretary of the match result within 48 hours.

7. League
CARDS sent to the League Secretary must clearly state (i) the
home club, (ii) players names and handicaps, (iii) one point for
a win, 1/2 for a tie, 0 for a loss.

8. League
TABLES will be compiled by the League Secretary on the following
basis: Matches played - won (2 points) drawn (1 point) lost (0
points) - points for - points against - total points.

9. In the event of a tie at the end of the season between teams
at the top of their league, the winners shall be decided by the
'for' and 'against' difference and if still tied, the most individual
points scored away from home. In a league where an odd number
of matches are played, some teams will play more home than away
and visa versa in a particular year. The above rule on individual
points away from home will not apply and the League Committee
(rule 12) will decide the winners.

10. The winning team from each league will play in the finals
on a pre-arranged date at the end of the season. If any of the
matches in the finals ends in a tie then the clubs concerned shall
play their No 1 player on the team sheet in a 'sudden death' match,
off handicap.

11. Teams
in the finals may bring 6 players and a reserve. One player may
be substituted after the morning round.

12. Any
problems not covered by the Rules of Golf, or within these rules
must be referred to the League Committee whose decision shall
be final. The League Committee shall consist of the Junior Delegate
to the EGU, League Secretary and one other neutral person.

13. In
the event that a match has to be abandoned during play, the Junior
Organisers should if possible re-arrange the match on a later
date. If this is not possible the Junior Organisers must agree
to a result at the point when play was suspended. Thereafter rule
12 applies.

14. Postponements.
In the event of a match being postponed, arrangements should be
made to play the match as soon as possible, and before the last
date, 31st August. If a suitable date cannot be found,
the League Secretary should be informed immediately.
Rule 15
may be applied if a
match is cancelled by a team within 72 hours of commencement,
provided the matter is referred to the
League Committee, whose decision shall be final.

15. If
the opposing team fail to arrive on the designated date, the offending
team will forfeit the match and two
match points will be awarded to
the opposing side, however individual game points will not be awarded.
In the event of difficulty
in raising a team, it is more acceptable to play the match with
a lesser number of players than not play at all.

16. Matches
are to be played during the period 1st April
to 7 days prior to the date of the League
Finals, preferably on Monday mornings in the school holidays,
commencing approx. 9.30 - 10.00am. Junior Organisers are requested
to ensure that the date agreed is advised to the visiting Organiser
and his or her Junior Captain.

17. The
home side will be responsible for ensuring that refreshments are
available for teams after the match. The home club to pay.

18. Players
should be reminded that dress standards both on and off the
course, applicable to each club, must be strictly adhered to.
|
|
19. No advice may be given to players
during the playing of a match. No caddies are allowed, except by
prior application to a Junior Organiser (e.g. physical
disability). The use of a caddy will attract a penalty of
loss of hole for each hole at which a breach occurred; maximum
penalty 2 holes. Further breach disqualification and loss
of match. No person other than tournament officials may
accompany any player on fairways or greens during matches.
Spectating will only be allowed from the edge
of fairways and greens.
