General Rules

Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union General Conditions Relating to All Tournaments

1. All Tournaments shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and such Local Rules as shall be approved by the Tournament Committee. Players MUST ensure they play with Conforming Balls and Driving Clubs.

2. (a) All entries must be made on the appropriate official entry form and must be received by the Tournament Secretary on or before the stipulated closing date for entries.
(b) All such entry forms must be accompanied by the stipulated entry fee.
(c) No entry fee will be refunded unless intimation of scratching is received before the closing date for entries except for any entrant who may be balloted out and who does not subsequently play.
(d) All entries shall be the subject to the approval of the Tournament Committee which reserves the right to accept or refuse any entry without giving reason for its decision, which shall be final.
3. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to fix and/or alter starting times. Any competitor who is not present on the 1st tee when called upon to start shall be disqualified.
4. If in any Tournament it becomes impossible to complete the Tournament in accordance with the Conditions thereof because of adverse weather conditions or other circumstances which in the opinion of the Tournament Committee make impossible or impractical to do so the Tournament Committee shall be empowered to vary such Conditions to the extent necessary to achieve a result within the time available.
5. All competitors will be required to play with golf balls which are on the Royal and Ancient Golf Club list of Conforming Golf Balls current at the date of the Tournament.
6. With the exception of the Leicestershire Fox' Tournament all competitions will only be open to members of Clubs belonging to the Leicestershire and Rutland Golf Union.
7. The Tournament Committee of the Leicestershire and Rutland Golf Union shall settle all disputes.
     
8   PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO WALK AT ALL TIMES, UNLESS REGISTERED DISABLED.
